Are there any restriction for Eye Donation ?
There are no restrictions for Eye Donation. All donated eyes are medically
evaluated before use.
How long after death eye can be removed ?
Preferably within 4 to 6 hours after death. Sooner the better.
Does eye donation delay ritual cremation ?
No. Removal of eyes after death can be done in 7-10 minutes.
Does removal of eyes cause disfigurement ?
No. Eyes are removed skilfully and there is no disfigurement.
What happens to eyes after removal ?
Donor Eyes are scientifically preserved and after evaluation used by
expert surgeons.
