AHA Update

  • President – AHA was appointed as Principal Consultant to National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) Quality Council of India [QCI]. Also appointed as a Consultant National Disaster Management Authority
  • Executive Director – AHA was included by Planning Commission, Govt of India, as membersof the steering committee on secondary and tertiary health care for 11th 5 year plan. Later he was made convenor of a sub group set up by steering committee on Restructuring, Re-allocation and Rationalisation of Secondary and Tertiary Health Care Infrstructure. Report has been submitted and the Steering Committee report is being finalized.
  • Academy of Hospital Administration [AHA] was included as member of the NABH Board, QCI.
  • AHA is process of being registered as Consultant Organzation of NABH, QCI.
  • AHA and Regional Chapters of AHA are also involved in conducting NABH Assessor Programmes. In these programme AHA members are given concessional rate for registration.
  • Govt. of India appointed a committee for finalizing course structure of Post Diploma Programme in Health Facility and Designing (Medical Architecture), Health Care Engineering & Management, each of one year duration and Master Courses in Health Care Facility. Planning & Architecture, Health Care Engineering & Architecture, each of 2 years duration No. of meetings were held and the reports has been finalized, and was handed over to Health Minister. Health Secretary and Directtor General of Health Services, Govt. of India, by delegation comprising of, DG-ICMR, Director-SPA, Executive Director-AHA & President-IHE.
