Central sutural cataract   Posted By Dr.Rekha Khandelwal    Date : 05-Sep-00   12:02 PM     Reply

i have a child who has nystagmus since birth and central sutural cataract in both eyes .he has a divergent right eye and not taking fixation with it.in undilated pupil the opacity almost fills the gap,but with dilated pupils there is considerable gap.vision in rt eye is finger counting and left eye is cf4m. with dilated pupils the visin in both rt eye is not improving and left is also not more than 6/60. fundus is clearly seen with dilated pupils and appears normal. suggest if surgery should be done for left eye or he should be started with dilating drops only. any other suggestions for him?
