Moving Larva in Eye   Posted By Dr Dayal Bandhu Majumdar    Date : 23-Mar-10   11:32 AM     Reply

We have got a 16yrs male patient with complaints of insects moving in left eye. Three insects ( Larva) were removed from his left eye ( otherwise healthy ) . They were actively moving on the conjunctival surface and repeatedly disappearing in the upper fornix. Size of each larvae were 3 mm x0.5 mm x 0.5 mm approximately (photograph attached ). Could we get any help from any entomologist to identify these larvae? Dr Chandana Chakraborty and Dr Majumdar Dayal Bandhu . Calcutta National Medical College & Hospital . Kolkata : 14.
