I have 52 yr old male patient with functional impairment on the right side due to old accident, patient has 50%capacity on the rt. side. recently he developed sudden onset of pain right ankle with pain with weight bearing and pain with dorsiflesion only, the rom are within normal limit, strenrth is also normal. MRI suggested synovitis and small calcaneal spur. he experience pain on the anteriomedial side while walking. The onset of pain is about 5 wks post. My question is what should be the line of treatment and is the diagnosis corrrect, besides synovitis, are we missing something, may be ant compartmnent ankle syndrome ? please help
