Penetrating head injuries in children constitute only a small part of the total number of traumatic head injuries seen in ER (emergency room). We report a case of penetrating craniocerebral trauma in a 4 years old male child, presented in casualty on 15/01/09 with an iron rod penetrating into the skull. He survived fall and a rusted rod in his head as he was operated timely
