chronic endophtlamitis   Posted By Sue    Date : 20-Aug-09   03:32 PM     Reply

I started having hazy vision in my right eye and wentt to the opthamologist and he said when I had cataract surgery and a few months later had yag laser the hole was not made big enough. These procedures was done 8 years ago??? He did the Yag again opened up the hole and cleaned up scar tissue. This was done on 6/11/09 the next day I had terrible flashes of light and still do. He sent me to a retina specialist and he said everything was fine and the flashes would go away. The end of July I went back to the opthamologist and he said my vitreous was hazy and a week later I saw the retina specialist again. He now tells me I have chronic endopthlamitis and gave me a steriod injection in the eye. I am to return back to him in 3 more weeks. I am so scared after reading info on line about this disease. What do you think about my treatment? No test were done to determine the type of bactria. Please, any information that might help would be appreciated.
