erythroblastosis foetalis   Posted By sandip akmar    Date : 22-Nov-04   05:23 AM     Reply

sir, Mrs. "X" age 27 is suffering from the problem of erythroblastosis foetalis. At the age 19 she was pregant and deliverd a healthy female child of blood group O+ve. But Mrs. X is having blood group O-ve but was wrongly diagnosed as O+ve and so was not treated with Anti-D injection by the registered lady doctor. now from second time of her pregnancy the fact was revealed but was not useful because the baby was not developing so have to be aborted. this is followed by 2 more pregancies under the supervision of Mumbai specialists but still it was a failed attempt. Now they are suggesting for blood transfusion of the baby in the next pregnancy which is also having 20% chances of success. so please advice the newer n safe treatment for such a case with 100% chances of getting a healthy child or it is not possible?
