Uretheral Strictures   Posted By SANJIV DUGGAL    Date : 01-May-09   04:56 AM     Reply

My father was diagnosed has having Uretheral Strictures (anterior) He underwent core VIU on 2.03.09 and therafter it was re done on 23.03.09. The catheter was removed on 04.04.09.Post catherter removal, he was voiding normally. But the doctor treating him chose to redo VIU on 16.04.09 when the self caliberation failed. He is still on catheter. But the doctor suggests to redo VIU again on 04.05.09. Howvever, second opinion sought from another Urologist suggests taht we remove the catheter and manage the stricture with intermittent dilation. Seek your guidance on the subject. Thanks
