Renal Pelvis Dilation   Posted By Saurabh Sharda    Date : 04-Feb-09   01:52 AM     Reply

This unborn baby had a normal second level sonography at 20 weeks. At 26 weeks scan for fetal echo the report suggested that there is a mild Right side Renal Pelvis Dilation of 8 mm and a follow-up scan will be required. At 32 weeks and 34 weeks Level-III scans concluded that the RPD has increased to 12 mm. A healthy baby-girl (3.5 Kg) was born on 11jan2009 and scan of the baby-girl three days after the birth revealed that the RPD has reduced to 7 mm. She was put on a mild dose of Rofex (Cephlaxin suspension 0.7 ml) per day for 30 days. Any suggestions for further course of action.
