High anti streptolysin 'o' titre   Posted By A Ghosh    Date : 31-Jul-08   04:01 AM     Reply

Hi, My wife is suffering from a pain in the right leg at the below knee region. After pathological tests it reveals that she is having a very high anti streptolysin 'o' titre (612 iu/ml). She is also having a high ESR (62). She is very quick prone to the infection in her throat and it is observed in near past that she is having a kind of bad dry cough. She is also feeling continuously weak/tired and sometimes having small breathing difficulties. We also had gone for ECG. But there is no problem in the heart. She is 26 yrs of age. What could be the problem and possible medication? She is having normal periods and no other complications. Can anybody suggest if this is a problem with Rheumatology?
