periodic pulsation in legs   Posted By Anurag Arora    Date : 20-May-08   09:53 AM     Reply

Dear Sir/Madam,

From past 3-4 years, I have a condition that at while I am trying to sleep I feel a pulse starting from my knee and flowing downwards in my left leg. It repeats after 30 seconds or so and continues for half an hour or so. I am not able to sleep, all that while. The first attached image is the diagnosis report of a doctor whom I consulted 2 years back. He suggested NCS on my legs and the second attached image is the report of the same. He prescribed certain medicines which gave me a temporary relief. One year later, I consulted another doctor, who suggested NCS and MRi-scan. The 3rd and the 4th attached image is the report of MRi-scan. After looking at the reports, he prescribed 3 medicines viz. CLOTAS (.25 mg), OSSOPAN (500 mg) and GABAPENTIN capsules and instructed me not to put pressure on my back in any way. I am consuming medicines for almost an year now and as long as I consume them, I don't feel the pulse but if I miss them for a day or two, I again start feeling the pulse when I am trying to sleep and now it has started occuring in my right leg also. Other thing is that I cannot stand for long time, if I do, my lower back starts aching. If I strain my legs a little, I feel weekness in my legs which is the earliest symptom of the problem. Please look into the case and give your opinion.

Thanking you, Anurag Arora
