Case Discussion

Transverse myelitis   Posted By Poonam Mahadev Thapa    Date : 28-Mar-08   09:19 AM     Reply

My husband was diagnosed with TM in November 2004. His recovery was 60 percent mobility in 3 months and 80 percent by 6months. After that he had an acute E. Coli infection with high fever. Since then his condition has gone down. We would like to have a complete re checkup as if from start with no preconcieved diagnosis to know for sure what his condition is at the moment. He is not able to stand or walk. He has regular Passive ROM exercises done daily. His legs stiffen up when straightening them. He feels a nagging pain in his lower back but otherwise his sensitivity is ok. His left hip is hiked and his navel appears shifted to the right by an inch when he is sitting. We would like to consult specialists in Delhi so would be glad of any recommendations.
