Diagnosis of Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy and gas injection   Posted By PCV    Date : 02-Aug-07   11:07 PM     Reply

Hello- I wanted to know some details around PCV with subretinal hamarrorage diagnosis and perflouropropane (C3F8) gas injection treatment. 1. Is this a regularly used procedure for PCV diagnosis? 2. Does this result in long term gain in vision? What happens after the gas bubble deflats after several weeks? 3. What other therapy needs to be done in conjunction with the gas injection procedure? 4. Under what circumstances would a PDT be done?

Regards

Sumit
