Health Practices in India   Posted By prem prakash    Date : 19-Jul-07   10:52 AM     Reply

In health sector we have now being trained of healthcare planning but still treatment planning for various disease is not standardised & therefore there are different treatment systems availaible for a single disease. It can creat problem even to make patient aware of the treatment system applicable & suitable to him but again due to so many therapeutic system availaible in india under legal parameters(homeo, ayurvedic, allopathy & unani) this is not possible to educate patient. For a Allopathic surgeon /physician there are guidelines drafted by MCI but again for other therapies there is no specific guidelines which ultimately creates control gaps & non- standardised practices.

This scenario ultimately develops unhealthy practice in India and therefore in my opinion a Central Regulatory commission is required to control both Pharmacy as well as clinical practices in india which could draft uniform policy & can give specific guidelines for health related practices & act as a core body to co-ordinate all streams of therapies.

Please share your suggestions .
