RETINA DETACHMENT   Posted By durga.gurnani    Date : 27-Jul-06   07:10 AM     Reply

RESPECTED DOCTOR. MY FATHER AGED 72 YEARS HAD CATRACT IN BOTH EYES. HE GOT HIS EYES OPERATED IN 1997 ( RIGHT EYE ) & 2000 ( LEFT EYE ) RESPECTIVELY.DUE TO SOME REASON DOCTOR COULD NOT PUT LENSE IN RIGHT EYE SO THAT EYE REMAINED WIHTOUT LENSE EYE. LEFT EYE IS WORKING OK WITH LENSE. NOW RETINA DETACHMENT PROBLEM HAS COME UP IN RIGHT EYE ( WITHOUT LENSE ).EARLIER HE WAS ABLE TO SEE SOMETHING ( DULL PICTURE ) FROM RIGHT EYE BUT SINCE LAST FEW DAYS HE IS NOT ABLE TO SEE FROM RIGHT EYE AT ALL . WE CONSULTED DOCOTOR & HE HAS ADVICED US TO UNDERGO OPERATION . HE ALSO SAID THAT ITS A BIG OPERATION WHICH WILL TAKE ABOUT 2 HRS. I AM SCARED AS I DONT WANT MY FATHER TO UNDERGO OPERATION AT THIS AGE. PLS ADVICE. THANKS & REGARDS DURGA.G
